Forward50 Metropolitan Transportation Plan

NOTICE OF RELEASE OF THE DRAFT METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN (MTP) FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENT

The Permian Basin MPO (MPO), a federal, state and locally recognized organization that addresses the region’s transportation planning priorities, is releasing its draft MTP for public review and comment beginning Thursday October 10, 2024. The draft MTP may be found on the homepage of the website, www.permianbasinmpo.com. The purpose of this notification is to meet the intent and requirements of the MPO’s Public Participation Plan and federal laws. A 30-day comment period will expire on Saturday November 9, 2024.  The MTP is a 25-year long range multimodal transportation plan.

                   

A summary of the draft MTP will be available for review at www.permianbasinmpo.com and at the city secretary’s offices in Midland and Odessa, the public libraries in Midland and Ector County, Martin County courthouse, TxDOT Odessa District Office and the Permian Basin MPO Office. Verbal and written comments from the public may be submitted through an email at  info@permianbasinmpo.com, or by USPS to:
