On September 16, 2017, the Permian Basin MPO Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee first met to begin the discussion of its role to Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning in the region. The committee has since established Mission and Vision Statements and it will be a forum for interested community members to help plan and advocate for Bicycle and Pedestrian needs in the Permian Basin Metropolitan Area.

Mission Statement

Provide the Permian Basin Metropolitan Planning Organization the guidance necessary to educate the public and enhance the transportation system for cyclists and pedestrians.

Vision Statement

Develop projects that promote healthy lifestyles by creating a network of enjoyable and safe pedestrian and bicycle routes throughout the Permian Basin metropolitan area.
