The MPO will open the development of its new 25-year regional Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) with public workshops throughout the Midland Odessa area. The 2040 MTP reflects the community’s vision for long-term community growth supported by a wide variety of regional transportation system investment priorities.
Participants at these workshops will be given the opportunity to share their vision for the community and its transportation future. Feel free to bring questions about projects that you are interested in or to get help and insight on issues from the presenters. Discuss how agencies, local governments, and the private sector can work collaboratively to improve the Midland Odessa area.

The Vision 2040 Plan is the Permian Basin MPO's Metropolitan Transportation Plan; it is a comprehensive, long range transportation planning document that covers a 25-year time frame. An important element in the Vision 2040 Plan is the Policy Board approved list of priority construction projects. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan is updated every five years. The purpose of this planning effort is to improve the overall quality of life in the Midland-Odessa area.
